Sailor Jerry: Tattoo Drawings
by Sailor Jerry, Edited by Don Ed Hardy
Large softcover book celebrating the centennial year of Sailor Jerry Collins' birth (1911). Don Ed Hardy has dug into the archives of Jerry's secret stash to present something different... Offered for the first time are precision line drawings, some with light color, that were the final step before cutting stencils. Grouped in tracing-paper pads from the late 1940's and early 1950's with notations by Jerry, the book contains hundreds of images, many never seen before, that formed the paragon of mid-twentieth century tattooing. The drawings are reproduced full-size, 11" X 14", with an introduction by Don Ed Hardy.
